Baku Eurasian University (hereinafter – University) is committed to fostering an environment of integrity, respect, and accountability. As members of the academic community, we recognize the importance of ethical behavior in all aspects of university life. This Ethical Code serves as a guiding framework for students, faculty, staff, and administrators, outlining our shared values and expectations.
Purpose
The Code of Ethical Conduct affirms the University’s commitment to the highest standards of ethical, legal, and professional behavior. The Code of Ethical Conduct reflects our individual and collective commitment to the fulfillment of the University’s Core Institutional Values.
Scope
This Code of Ethical Conduct applies to all employees, staff and students at University.
Principles
1. Integrity

- Integrity is the cornerstone of academic excellence. We uphold the highest standards of honesty and truthfulness in all academic and non-academic endeavors. This includes:
- Academic Honesty: We do not engage in plagiarism, cheating, or academic dishonesty of any kind. All academic work must be original and properly attributed.
- Truthfulness: We are truthful in our interactions with others, both within and outside the university community. We do not misrepresent information or provide false statements.
- Transparency: We are transparent in our actions and decisions, ensuring that information is readily available and accessible to all stakeholders.
2. Respect

- Respect forms the basis of our interactions with fellow members of the university community and the broader society. We value diversity, inclusion, and the dignity of all individuals. This includes:
- Respect for Others: We treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs. We refrain from discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespectful behavior.
- Cultural Sensitivity: We acknowledge and appreciate the diverse cultural perspectives within our community. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Respect for Property: We respect the property rights of others, including intellectual property. We do not engage in theft, vandalism, or unauthorized use of university resources.
3. Responsibility
As members of the university community, we are accountable for our actions and their consequences. We recognize our responsibilities to ourselves, to others, and to the institution as a whole. This includes:

Ethical Code of Baku Eurasian University reflects our collective commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in all aspects of university life. Review
This Code will be amended or supplemented every 3 years. Up until the new version of the policy is adopted, the old one will still be fully enforceable.
